those are a must for iphones. I have the duracell one and it kicks butt and allows me to fish all day and still have phone power.

yeah, you can get a universal external battery that will give you 3/4 charge so long as you have a usb connection on your phone charger

My most non essential piece of carping equipment would be a collapsible umbrella. I have had some issues being in the sun and while natural shade is great, you can't always sit next to your rods when you're taking advantage of it. Having an umbrella you can move around for shade is something I personally cannot live without.
