My prayers go out for Kelly and his family. I just got off the phone with a mutual friend and it is confirmed that he has cancer. It is melanoma. From what i have gathered, it is in the early stage and on the surface. I will be talking with him tomorrow and will keep you al posted. I know he has alot of friends on the TFF.

The story by Barone seems to indicate it likely was caught early enough. Hopefully it won't be more than a scare for Kelly.
Anyone who fishes should get a regular checkup by a Dermatologist. I went a couple of months ago and he froze off about 10 spots that he deemed as pre-cancerous.I had them make me a annual appointment just to get checked with some frequency.

I talked to Kelly on wednesday here in Palestine and he told me about his ordeal. He said he was doing good. He said some things that made me look at life in a whole new perspective. I know he will appreciate all the prayers and good words everyone has said and when I see him I will pass everything on.

I hope everything is going to be ok.After meeting Kelly last year at choke canyon lake.We where hoping to meet up with him at fork and have a few drinks and dinner around may.One of the nicest pros that i have ever meet.Kelly hang in thier bud.Here is a picure of last year.
