AMEN Sideros. They are on in some places and off in others. The stupid wind and cold fronts are really what skrews everything up. But I think we are ALL hoping for a late spawn. That way we know we didnt miss anything.

Yep, even the hybrid at Waurika are not cooperating. The crappie were shallow last week there last week but now nothing, everybody I talked to fished every day and haven't done any good since.
All I can say is WTFO!

A friend of mine and I caught 15 in 1 feet of water off 3rd bridge a couple of weeks back. But Ive heard reports of people not catching worth a flick and others hitting the jackpot everywhere. Its just a really, really strange spawn this year. Don't know whats going on in those fishes heads. You forgot to mention your other friends record setting day...

Well, didn't make it to Waurika on this first scouting trip. My mom and I didn manage 16 keepers Sunday morning and 20 keepers Monday morning at Henrietta bridge...I hate the wind. But on a much better note, we caught our limits at Miller Creek today. It took ALL day, but I wasn't quitting until we caught that last one. The BIG females are just now moving up on the main lake so it should stay good for another 3-4 weeks (at least). I'll be back at Arrowhead and hopefully taking my first trip to Waurika April 28th-May 8th. Are there any good tubing spots at Waurika?

 Went to Buffalo on Saturday caught a big bass. Then headed down to Miller Creek caught a couple of good crappie, a few good catfish, and a carp that was about 15lbs. Has anyone heard anything about how Lake Kickapoo this year? My kids are out of school tomorrow and I was thinking of taking em to the barge if the weather allows it.

thinking about trying it this weekend!!! also thinking about tanking the wife out to the state part and deer creek tomorrow eve!! just talked to a friend who said he did pretty good in between the fishing pier and the boat slips at the state park the other day!! he said it was real windy!!
