Good thing about fishing is you can use anything from a can and string to a obscenely decked out boat.

I finally quit throwing my money away endlessly and spent a grand total of $1,708 over three years ago on a truly sweet fishing machine. Boat, Electric Motor, Battery, New Cooler, Oars for back-up. No trailer, insurance, gas, storage fees, launch fees, etc...zero. Fish almost every weekend at Lville, Gvine, Raybob, Brazos River, Fork or numerous ponds. LOVE IT!

The good thing about boats is like most things if you take care of them they can last a long time. My last boat was a 89 Ranger with a 150 Johnson. I paid 12,000 for and I kept it until 2009 when I bought a 2009 21' Legend with a 250. The new one is a LOT better on gas. This is my retirement boat and it will probably be my last. So that is not too bad per year for all the enjoyment. Also fishing is the only thing I really spend on.
Now if someone could just do something about this wind!

I have very few very bells and whistles on my boat, sure i would love to have some but can't afford it. My boat payment is low enough i can fish probally more often than those with the pricey boats and heck probally outfish them.
