All things considered, I would have to agree that $400 for a day of fishing and guaranteed catch is a wonderful deal. Guides work their tails off, and there are many unmentioned costs that go into that $400. Its not like they show up at the dock, cruise to a spot, you catch fish and the guide drinks a Corona. Its not quite like that. You get what you pay for. There are plenty of $30-$100 trips available. With those however, you are sharing a space with maybe 40 people or more, and there's just a good a chance that hardheads will be all that you catch. With the $400, you will likely limit out on trout or reds quickly, and have a real shot at a trophy fish...often times many trophy caliber fish to the common person. You also get the guides knowledge, laid back atmosphere, and overall fun environment of this type of trip. If you are going to do this, do this right. Get a highly recommended guide. Get one that has been doing this for a long time. With all of that, you are sure to have the trip of a lifetime. Isn't that worth the extra couple hundred bucks?

I'm not a chick.

Call Capt. Brad Barwise 361-774-3557. Pretty much all the good guides charge about the same money. If you find a cheap one, you WILL get what you pay for.

The more money you spend on a Guide will not Guarantee you a limit.

ALL Guides work hard for a living, no matter what their day rate is.
