Stew, Winnsboro is a good lake for quality fish. If you hit the small Wood county lakes they are baby Lake Forks. stick with tyler east, just takes time to find em... Stew has figured Lake Tyler out pretty well. Last time I counted he's up about 4K in less than six months on the lakes.

Hey buddy I'll let u put that big blue monster in my lake behind the house. You can catch 25 lbs and u don't have to burn any gas.

Athens by far is the best little lake i've ever fished. Of course the inland fishery center is there as well. That might have something to do with it.

Best East Texas small lakes. Winnsboro Quitman Holbrook Mill Creek (canton) Van city lake Pinkston Timpson Pools pond (lindale) and then there is Athens this is my favorites

At about 9,000 acres Sandlin is not as small as the others mentioned but is a nice place to fish.
