In the interest of organization, I thought it might be best for us to post our North Texas GTG pictures into one thread.

I took quite a few pictures today and I should have them uploaded to my Flickr page sometime tonight. I'll post a link later.

Here is a little teaser.

Shaun Russell - The man with the plan.

It was really great to finally meet some of you guys. I had an awesome time.

This was my first GTG with the guys from this forum. It will certainly not be my last.

To Neumie and all the people that helped out, thanks for going the extra mile putting on this event. Y'all did a great job!!!

The last couple days I have spent putting faces with names, and making friends with some really great people. Simply put, had a blast.
Between the awesome cooking, learning how to set up my kayak, to playing kayak games that someone had to be half lit to dream up.
I'll remember this for a long time to come.

District paddle- It was a pleasure to have met you. It was great to have your company as I was fishing around the lake today.

I took a couple pictures while I was out there. I'll post some as I get then downloaded.

Dean You have a great eye for photography, those are awesome pictures!! Keep them coming.

Zombie- Dude y'all made a killing on the sandies.I really wanted to go out there with y'all but I was totally spent. My shoulders were killing me after that backwards paddling contest.
Well that, and after showing my exemplary barbie rod throwing skills.LOL!!

It was Neumie, and Spiny Norman that made the call as to where to have the GTG.
But I was sure glad they chose where they did. That park is really special to me.I've had some great times there with my family. It really has great facilities for camping.

It also has a perfect protected shallow shelf that extends out a few hundred yards great for Kayaking. I really like that shallow area because it keeps the speeding boat traffic down.

As you saw it also provides some of the best sand bass fishing around if you can paddle out a couple hundred yards.

Even though it is a couple miles to the north of Isle du Bois park, I still think it's worth the trouble. Not to take anything away from Isle du Bois park, It's nice over there too.
Besides I sound like a idiot every time I try to pronounce Isle du Bois. LOL cyclop

Skills I tell ya. Spiny Norman just has the mad skills.

We are going to call this the "no paddle straddle"

There was some some stiff competition in the Barbie throwing event. Would you just look at the forum of these guys? They were serious!!!!
