That was probably the guy that gave me a free 4# cat about a week back. Any idea where they were catching them at I have never had much luck there so far. I might give the third bridge a shot instead of buffalo. Do you normaly fish the pillars or the rocky dam area?

im hitting up the third bridge today I'll be out there for most the evening from 5pm on to dark if you manage to make it out there. Not sure about Wensday I think the wife wants us time or something that keeps me from fishing . I know next weekend for sure will be a good day to go, this week is mostly getting packed and ready for the kayak thing at Ray Roberts this weekend.

I went out to the third bridge today gorgeous weather and all. Made it out to the bridge in my kayak then a good 20+ mph wind comes out of no were and pretty much ruins the day. Two foot + waves on the way back in, got soaked and just horrible surprise wind. Was thinking about fishing there all day so major disappointment for sure, that bridge is a curse for me so far oh well better luck next time.

My son and I went to Waurika for a change and all I can say is that the Crappie there are HUGE. we fished from 5pm to about 7:30 with 10 Crappie (five were right at 2 lbs) one small hybrid, some blue gill, 3 drum, and one 3 lb blue. What a day and I cant wait to grill that nice cat.
We fished along the bridge at walker creek jigging with white and chartreuse rocky tops. Everybody was catching until about 7pm then it just stopped.
The best part about Oklahoma is that the limit is 37 (only reached it once) and no size limit. Bad part is that a license is 55 bucks but hey, that wont even get you a tank of gas anymore.

Fished the boat slips on Arrowhead again Sunday afternoon. I caught four (three keepers) from about 5pm to 8pm. Didn't see anyone there leave with more than three fish. A guy in a boat pulled up and gave me six nice ones that he had caught out by the derricks. So, I went home with 9 fish, but only 3 were mine.
They are still not biting very well out there, at least as of Sunday.

We wasted 20 bucks in gas and fished henrietta bridge and managed one, no one else was doing any good either. We fished from 5 to 7 PM. A couple of guys were there since 9am and had about five apiece. A guy I know was tubing and he reported that they seemed to be deeper and that he'd been doing good at the dam about 10 feet deep, he gave me the two he had so I left with three. Shoulda went to Waurika.
Has anyone ever fished the red abandoned Barge at Arrowhead? Me and my son stepped over all the city warning and keep out signs and went in for a look. looks promising and I have heard of people doing good there but the signs made me a little worried.

The barge has warning signs on it and not good for fishing but the rocky point that it sits near is what seems to keep getting my attention. Looks like one hell of a crappie spawning area.

fished the dam tuesday..and had slow action. went to one of the derricks on the way to Hen.Bridge and had a blow out. found them suspended at 10' and all the way to the bottom. never had that kind of experience this time of year. Water was at 71.3 F. on the surface.

Allright! The old man called me bragging this afternoon that he had caught A 17 inch female at the third bridge in shallow water. He caught a total of nine but would not tell me specifically where he was fishing. I can tell you from experience that when he will not give me specifics, than he has found a honey hole and he is guarding it. Sounds like the females are coming shallow so the fishing should be good for the next two weeks. I think i might have to drive up there next weekend and get me some!!!
This day may be your last on this earth. Spend it fishing!
