some folks talked about bringing extra tackle, or stake out sticks they made, or just what they had that was duplictes they were willing to get selll or trade. Someone mentioned they had extra tires that would work for a cart, a few extra poles laying around, etc... nothing organized.

hmm I might have to bring some cash or something I am in the market for a new decent bait caster. I have one now with my spinning rod and want to replace the spinning rod with the bait caster, maybe I'll be able to trade that. Its a good Shimano reel with a 6'6 Med ugly stick, I love it but bait casters rock more for kayaking

Its actually a Shakespear Ugly Stik Lite 6'6 medium action rod with a shimano symetre 2500 fi reel on it.

Spinning is a necessity some times in Texas wind, I would add to the arsenal so you have options.

yeah I have that and my 7 foot heavy action bait caster but I seem to use my bait caster more and more and my spinning less and less. Mainly due to the bigger pound test line and it is more compact then the spinner is. idk maybe Ill just get over it is all

OK, forgive me for skipping around and dropping to the bottom of this thread, but the crux of the location is a) the tournament launches from Jordan Unit, and b) everyone is hanging out / camping at IDB park? These plans have been going for so long ... is there a final FINAL somewhere? Many thanks and see you there (wherever there is).

The tournament and G2G are happening at Overflow Campsite C21 of Oak Point in Johnson Branch. Most people are camping at Oak Point in Johnson Branch.

Neumie just called RR and they said the burn ban is lifted so lets get our bonfire on and have a good time. For those showing up on Saturday the gates will be opened at 5am instead of the normal 6am. Can't wait to see you all out there.
