Catfish Hunter 1963 made a good point. People are hurting. No doubt about. As we are focused mainly on catfish here, regardless of your fishing methods, as well as any religious or political beliefs, my gist mainly had to do with the fact that we can all complain, we can all blame, but never try to fix the solution. Or maybe that should be find the solution.

As to catfishing, we can be creative, yet using common sense. They say there is power in numbers. Yes, even if we apply that to fishin' buddies. While we may make a sporadic trip here & there, we can map many trips out ahead, and keep it from breaking the bank (each of our funds). Sometimes we are all guilty of buying a tad too much in supplies or gear & it might catch up to us.

Of course on the other side of the coin, know your limit & don't overload the boat with too many fishing buddies to become unsafe. And by all means, realize that many lakes are & will be lower this summer due to lack of rain (at least down this way). By keeping repair costs down or to nothing, you can shift more money to gear & supplies.

Times are hard for some and kind words can go a long way. For the people that are down. Just remember when times get hard it makes the good times that much better.
I'm only 27 and got in real estate in 2006 when everything was hard but I think its going to make me a better man. As of the start of this year I'm in the top 25 of my office out of 350+ agents. So for all the people down on luck just hang in there and work hard, work smart and it will pay off.
