Used the grand ole Senko for a long time and caught good fish on it. Then when I started fishing faster moving baits, I kissed the Senko good bye. Haven't thrown one in nearly two years.

Everyone wants the new stuff that seems to catch fish better than what was used last year, presumably because the fish aren't as used to seeing it. Well, the fish in our waters now are a whole new bunch of fish. The ones that were there years ago when all these old baits were popular have long since died. The ones here now have probably never seen a Redfin or Hula Popper. Why don't more of us use some of our old stuff and save the money we spend on new lures for boat gas and such?

My wife asks this all the time... The last year and half or so I have been stockpiling rods, reels and lures. I have a whole rack of just extra plastics and a large tub of extra lures. Its a collection i think.

Anyways for the question above
bettle spins I carry but rarely use but they work.
torpedos I like them but all my son uses so he gets them.

Rainbow Trout colored Sluggos and Black/Yellow Mepp's Bass Killer. Well, any spinnerbait for that frown Don't know why, but the spinnerbait bite has been tough for me the past few years.

Creme Scally Wag
Poe's RC square bill crank bait. Used to slay them on Fork back in the late 90's

Oh man! Pork-O's were the subject of a get-together on Fork back in '02! Skeeterhawk, Bazztex and I'm thinking it was Bob, but don't remember his TFF alias. What an event that turned out to be. Ah, memories!

jitterbug, sluggo, traps, torpedo. Still have the baits but can't remember last time I threw them. Think I just might pull them out for my next tourny. Seems like so many new baits on the market, all the older ones get shelved and forgotten.
