Our club fishes Ivie 2 or 3 times a year and the last couple of years we have encountered the most rude fishermen I have ever seen. They will jump in front of you twenty feet or go between you and the bank. Has anyone else noticed this? Just a little common courtesy would be nice.

Only thing I have noticed on Ivie is the bent rod fisherman. If you stick a couple of fish and anyone sees it you will have someone in you back pocket shortly

Kinda like the crappie barge huh, Killer? Not near as bad. At the Crappie House the people that crowd you normally get run out of there pretty quick.

Same thing on Hubbard, Lewisville, Texoma etc. It is easier to cut someone off then prefish and find your own fish.

It's called greed. The more there is to gain( possibility of big fish or big check) the more people sacrifice their standards. It is really bad for those who show up at the ramp with few to start with. Do unto others............

Killer is right....The lake is fishiing very small and as soon as someone see's you boat a fish, it's like flies on *&^%!! It's getting crazy! I have enjoyed watching boaters that do not know the lake and try to go between you and the bank hit bottom.

That's what happens when a lake gains notoriety. Crowds of new anglers that lack character. Been dealing with it at Fork for years. I just move on to another spot. I refuse to let a verbal (or worse) confrontation ruin my day on the water.

A buddy and me call them snakes or sharks. Back in the day on Ivie the main lake humps were the hot spots and if there was more than one boat in an open water or off shore spot the crowd of sharks would circle then eat you up. It had gotten so bad my buddy and were sitting out in the open water where it was 97 ft deep checking on how each other was doing. After 10 minutes there was 10 people strolling 11" worms on a Carolina rig around us. I don't think they had enough line to get close to the bottom. LOL (what did they find that we don't know about?) they would stay and fish after we left and more sharks would keep on coming. DA's

Last weekend there were 16 boats by the dam lined up on a creek channel about 20ft apart. Kinda like the scene from jaws.

You guys need to come fish Fork in the spring or Monticello in the winter. You'll have a new appreciation for crowded water.

I refuse to let a verbal (or worse) confrontation ruin my day on the water. Lack of character is the best way to put it too. I see so many people post on here about issues like this. I personally think you need to start speaking up and stop posting about it. I know some people think "well maybe they do not know any better", but that isn't an excuse for it. I've been bass fishing out of a boat for a little over one year and I can tell you with in 30 days of fishing out of a boat I knew what is considering rude. It's simple common sense. If they are getting in your way say something. Say it nice and you will be surprised at how great it works out. Me personally I could care less if people come close to me UNLESS I am pre-fishing or on the fish good. If I am casting and catching a few fish here and there, well then by all means come over and say hello! I like to chit chat with anglers out there. However it is different when you are on the fish and people just come over because they notice it.

DA's I love it new trend to start for mcbass tourny. get just outside of a spot you want to fish in middle of lake and start actin like you are twackin on em. Let em gather around then split and act all mad like you were on giant fish. We used to call em chicken coops because they would croud in on each other and kill their selves(their fishing) just like chickens have to be moved around all the time.
