Simple is better sometimes. Don't over complicate things with a bunch of ingredients. This is not the UK and the fish arent that pressured. You can fish with my grits pack all spring and summer, then move to the oat pack in fall. Use oats or bread in the winter and then oats or grits in spring again. Oats are very versatile and can be fished all year. Also I can cast all of these over a 100yds with an avocado size ball around a 2 oz method lead

Heres Toms grit pack
The Grits packbait is probably the most forgiving of all packbaits. It packs as hard as a rock and can withstand the mightiest of heaves. A lid must be kept on the bait at all times to keep it from drying out and it will be good for around 12 hrs after being made. 18oz ofInstant Grits 9oz ofQuick grits A little Salt Dry mix in a bucket 1 can of cream styled corn 2 cap fullls of theR&W flavoring of your choice. Mine is (( Glow Bait )) Mix well and let sit for 20 min or so and then your off.
heres his oats pack.
I use Steam Rolled Oats when making Oat Packbait. While the Oats may not be as forgiving as the Grits they will however last till they sour and then a little longer. If the oats dry out just a little cream corn added and mixed and your right back in the game. Too wet, just leave the lid off the bucket for a while. 3lbs of steam rolled Oats Salt 1/2 of a silver bullet Dry mix in your bucket 1 can of cream style corn Mix and let stand for 20mins or so then your good to go. With the oats it isnt good to pack them any harder than is nessary to make the desired cast.
He would always tell me KISS rick.

They all sound good and I'll use them all one time or another, some I already have. I'll be using both Scott's and August's method/pack tomorrow. I'm out of grits.

My mix has six ingredients and can be made to break in 2 minutes or 20 minutes, can also be PVA bagged or sticked - is it groundbait, packbait, stick mix or method mix?????

Oh and I catch a few carp on it now and then smile LOL
