I am a Hospice nurse. The jetty boat is about 12 dollars. Get there early at 6 and fish till about noon. After that it can get pretty hot. Take everything you need. Drinks, chair, bait etc. The island is totally bare. You have to hide behind a sand dune to pee. I like it better because you dont have any crowds. If you want shark try walking out on the jetty by the beach and fish for black tips. They usually hit on the bottom. The jetty boat runs about every two hours all day long till 6 pm. Good luck!

If you can get your hands on an old wheelchair it can be modified with a little work to make a great cart to carry all of your gear. The big rear wheels roll easy on the rocks but not too good in sand.
