Very good reel. The 600 for the money can"t be beat. As good a reel aa I have ever used. If you need a spinning reel you have got to get u a 230 sx. They are sweet.

Yes the spinning reels are awesome and guys that use a lot of spinning reels will really like them, super smooth and cast forever.

And yes we have some high end models the 1000 pro is our most expensive reel and it is an unbelievable reel but Academy doesn't carry it or the 700

They have been around a while just never caught on for most. They have a 1000 series that is great for casting, they spool in reverse which causes less birdnests in the wind and they cast a mile and are very durable. Very good for cranking, spinner, lipless and flippin', but can wind uneven when texas riggin or using a jig due to the lack of a true level wind.

The most impressive models are the 1000 and 1000 Pro models. I pitched the 1000 some this week at our local tackle store and it was pretty slick. The red one at Academy isn't even in the same class as their upper end models.
