OK so someone texted me this photo a couple of months ago. Does anyone know the story behind this? If this is photo shopped, then they did a darn good job. It has to be fake in my opinion. This would no doubt be the largest Crappie of all time. I am no way trying to offend the guy who caught this fish. If it is real, then you are a legend......and we need to go fishing..

i say is photoshopped. something that big should have lots of lots of press online, but i was not able to find anything.

i have seen plenty of crappie that could fit a coke can in their mouths. and I have seen big ole barndoors shaped like this come from private 30 acre lakes with no catfish in them. imagine a 5lb bass, then think of how a 5lb crappie might look... i could see this fish being real, very rare but possible

Dang it's as big as the woodpile behind him  if it's real congrats, but it's true where is all the publicity for such a beauty.

It's fake. This same picture was posted either last year or the year before.... I thought I saw this same pic also twice in the last year, one story i think was from illinois

I am going to say very possible...only after looking at the Lake Fork record crappie caught...it could be real he is just holding it really close to the camera
If there is water...I will find the fish in it

It is like the Burger King commercial with the guy that has the little hands that make his burgers look bigger. I agree with the publicity aspect. It would be like the guy who shot the 190" buck from grapevine lake this year. every one and their old dog heard about it.

I vote real, but he is holding it close to the camera. optical illusional magnafacrappiecation factor.
