That is great! I've had the pleasure in past two springs to have my dad down to crappie fish with me, last year on Palestine while I was working up there, and this year here at home on Lake Conroe. I know that the oportunities to fish with my dad, who lives more than 500 miles from me, are few and far between, but we both enjoy it very much while we're out on the lake drowning jigs and throwin slabs in the livewell! I totaly understand, my dad lives 500 miles away too. (far west Texas) So, when he comes down, I drop what I am doing and cater to him. He calles it paying for my raising. LOL Maybe someone will repay the favor when I am his age.

We had a great time and they went home with a big igloo cooler full of crappie fillets as well as another cooler with bluecats and channel cat fillets they caught on jug lines. Plans were made for next year too, and I pray we get to do it again!

I will never be able to repay my dad for all he has taught me about hunting, fishing, and just life in general. He has enjoyed the past two years that he has got to come down here with me and fish that we'll normally get all choked up when we're saying our goodbye's. I know that he won't be around forever, hell I'm 50 now myself, so these are very special times for both of us. Time to quite talking about it though, I'm gettin kinda sentimental now just thinking about it.

I went out today by myself and caught some "good uns" I will try to post pics in a bit.
