I totaly understand, my dad lives 500 miles away too. (far west Texas) So, when he comes down, I drop what I am doing and cater to him. He calles it paying for my raising. LOL Maybe someone will repay the favor when I am his age.

I hear ya East Tex LOL!! This year, my brother and two nephews brought him down. We had a great time and they went home with a big igloo cooler full of crappie fillets as well as another cooler with bluecats and channel cat fillets they caught on jug lines.
Plans were made for next year too, and I pray we get to do it again!

I will never be able to repay my dad for all he has taught me about hunting, fishing, and just life in general. He has enjoyed the past two years that he has got to come down here with me and fish that we'll normally get all choked up when we're saying our goodbye's. I know that he won't be around forever, hell I'm 50 now myself, so these are very special times for both of us. Time to quite talking about it though, I'm gettin kinda sentimental now just thinking about it.

I know the feeling, he left last night with tons of crappie and a smile on his face. I went out today by myself and caught some "good uns" I will try to post pics in a bit.
