cool, thats my main lake, what is the date of the texoma tourney. for these tournaments, do you have to fish from a boat. Yes you have to fish from a boat as I recall. The remaining tounament schedule is as follows: April16th, 2011 7AM/3PM/ 3:30PM Lewisville/ Little Elm Ramp Qualifier $50/100/team Details May 21st, 2011 7AM/3PM/ 3:30PM Cooper Qualifier $50/100/team June 25 th, 2011 Crappie Masters Tournament Hrs Texoma/Highpoint Marina Sanctioned (Crappie Masters) July 16th, 2011 7AM/1PM/1:30PM Palestine Qualifier $50/100/team September 16-17 th, 2011 7AM/3PM/ 3:30PM Belton Texas State Crappie Championship $50/100/team November 19th, 2011 7AM/3PM/ 3:30PM Lavon/Collin Park Marina 2012 Qualifier $50/100/team

The tourney at Texoma will be a crappiemasters tourney and CAT is sanctioning it, therefore you will have to be a member of crappiemasters aswell,I believe.

Can you trailer to different parts of the lake? Sure, No hook in the water before 7 and be in line at 3pm. (Offically by 3:30 But - Take my advise and BE there early) Those hours will dry up fast and expect the weigh in area to be crowded.  Glad to see you & your grandad in this one.  Everyone be safe out there.  I usually keep the jacket on all day when it's not too hot. Remember-disqualified if you both don't have it on when you put the boat in gear. Everyone: Read the rules, read the rules.

Rule 7C - Teams may start fishing ( line in the water) anywhere on the lake at the starting time announced by the Tournament Director Must be in the weigh-in line by 3:30pm, not 3pm. CAT Tournament Rules

This should be a pretty sweet tourney, spawning crappie means some large stringers. I'm guessing 12# to win it all!
