Ya my dad is the postmaster at Petrolia and we have gone out there a couple of times with the boat. There are some big fish in there, and my dad said some guy came in the post office and told him he caught 22 crappie by the dam at petrolia! apperently they are on! I am 14 yrs old and if you see me and my dad give the short blonde one a shout! thats me!!

Get 'em Nephew, Let your dad catch one every once in a while. ;)If you don't he will quit taking you.

I'll be heading down to the LBJ grasslands early Sunday morning with a buddy. The fish down there have been hitting really good and a lot of the lakes are only accessible by kayak. So I'm hoping for a good day down there in a very low fishing pressure area.

Edit: Any kayakers, canoes or floaters are more then welcome to come along too. Just pm me if interested.

Weekend??? How's the bridges been. Anyone know??

The dereks at arrowhead are full of crappie. Apperently the males have moved back to the deeper waters because of that cold front. Havent heard of anyone talking about Henrietta Bridge in a week.

Pretty frustrating to hear for us bank fishermen. Been waiting on for them to come in so we can start catching them but the weather just won't cooperate.

Sideros, do you fish the dam or henrietta bridge?

This sucks. I got a 3 day weekend!! Wife already said I can fish today but I have no truck. Been out of town all week and didn't get back till 11 last night and didnt wanna mess with getting my truck so it is still at the shop!!

And now I wanna go out somewhere!!

Deer Creek/Third Bridge

I was going to put it on Craigslist for 1500 this weekend? If you know someone who really wants it I'll take 1300.

Somebody must have fished today. I couldn't and also wont be able to tomorrow or Sunday. any reports from third bridge, buffalo, or Henrietta bridge?

Okay. The old man said that the second bridge is starting to get some hits. he said that he caught two fat ones today and threw back 4 that were just under legal. He also broke his 10 pound test line twice on what he thinks were bass. He said that the shad were popping the water in the shallows so yall might get lucky tomorrow. Good luck. Keep your eye out for the old man in the blue cadillac and if he falls in, please fish him out!!!

I went to the dam and dereks at arrowhead from 3 30 till 7 30. We caught 22 crappie and a couple of sand bass. We actually caught some males up close to the rocks at the dam in about 3 feet of water. They are making them nest and should really turn on soon! we were at 1 particular derek where we couldnt get a jig in the water without catching a slab. we had 2 hogs snap our lines but caught there brothers and sisters! todays color was black head with a black/blue body and white tail. I am going to try to get out there tomarrow and catch some more!
