Added temperature to DATA OVERLAY on my Sonar and Chart page but it always shows 32.0 degrees F. It is a HS-WSDX transducer. In the Sonar Options where you can enter the Transducer Type this model is not and option so I chose Unkown. Is there something that I am missing?

Make sure your 522C unit has the current software update.

If not, you can download the update to an SD card (no less than 8MB) then slide it into your unit and update it. Just follow the instructions.

You can find out what version your unit is by following the below instructions:

How to see if your LMS-522C iGPS is already using version 2.5.0 software:
Press the MENU button twice on your LMS-522C iGPS.
Select SYSTEM SETUP.
Select SOFTWARE INFORMATION.
The software version for your unit is located under the line that says "LMS-522C iGPS" (ex. "Version 2.5.0").
If your version is the same version listed above, there is no need to download the software.

Are you sure that Transducer is compatible with the unit? I pulled up HS-WSDX transducer to see what it was compatible with and do not see the LMS 522C IGPS listed for it.

Don't know I bought the unit from a friend. When you say not compatible do you mean it is not on the the units display when going to the list of transducers? Maybe someone who has one can look at the tag that is on the transducer cable where it plugs into the unit. Or will no if the HS-WSDX transducer has the temperature sensor.

Thanks,

I guess I need to see if he gave me the wrong transducer. He said it should show temperature.

Done some research and the HS-WSDX does have temperature sensor. Do you think it could just be a bad transducer?

The LMS-522 takes the HST-WBL or PDT-WBL.

Thanks,

I couldn't find anything in particular for what the LMS-522 came with. I could only find information that the HS-WSDX did have a temperature sensor.

On the Sonar cable itself there should be a silver tag that states which transducer it is.

When I purchased my 522 new it came with the skimmer transducer HST-WSBL. I also purchased at the time a X125 and it came with the same transducer but this was going on the trolling motor so I picked up the trolling motor/shoot through hull for it, PDT-WBL. To my knowlege these are the only transducers compatable with the 522.

There are a couple that do not have temp built into them that are compatible.
