Went fishing at my favorite fishing spot, the backseat of H2Os boat. We met up early in the morning and he took a power nap on the way to the lake. Man, it must have made a world of difference because he put a hurt on some crappie yesterday. The front moved the crappie off the shallow spots which forced us to catch them on deeper docks and brush piles. According to him, it was a lot slower than it had been on the lake lately but we still managed to take home a very nice two man limit. We even threw back a lot of really nice keepers.

Here is the cooler o fish we took home.

Here is the big fish of the day? There may have been others that big but when you are catching them that heavy, you just stop measuring them.

I gave the fish to my mom since she said she was out and she was just giddy while unloading these toads.

Here is a nice pic of the color of these fish. Some were real dark still and many still had eggs.

We fished on Cypress Springs which is probably my new favorite lake. Its small, loaded with big crappie, and real pretty to look at. I bet the view only gets better on that lake the hotter it gets outside. nuts

Thanks Anh for the great trip. Nothing is better than a great day at the lake with a good friend. Catching fat slabs was just icing on the cake. thumb

All the pics have an "X". What gives??? Is there a setting I need to change?

Anyway, what lake were you fishing for slabs above?
