We had a few words, she told me I needed to move my boat, I told her a was on BRA property and that I wasnt doing anything wrong. She left on a good note " I thought" the next thing I know her son inlaw pulled up and told me to leave, I said Sir im fishing and not doing anything wrong I am not on her property my anchors are clearly in the water. He said my anchors were touching the roots of the trees in the water and that was her property. I said no its not I just want to fish and be left alone. Then things got pretty bad. I told them to call the Game Warden or the Sherrif. Next thing I know 2 Sherrif cars come flying down the road with lights on and De Cordovas Security Guard which I had called. The Sherrif told me I was doing nothing wrong to keep fishing and not worry about it that I was not breaking any laws. After everyone left fishing just wasnt fun at that time anymore. But I stood my ground till everyone left then I called it a night. No fish!!!! Some say I should have moved but I felt like I needed to stay so they wouldnt do the same to my fellow fisherman!! Hopefully you all agree and I didnt make a #### of myself. Thoughts and Opinions welcomed. Hopefully no one else has a problem. Just want to warn you what you might get into in their!! Which I am moving into De Cordova on the first of the month. I dont have a problem with the place its a nice neighbor hood. But I guess you alway have a few like that.

You did the right thing bmontgomery. That is good that you stood your ground. Funny how lakefront home owners think they own the actual lake out it front of them. They need to look at there land plots and see different. noidea

Sorry you didn't catch anything. But maybe next time Way to stand up for you rights. thumb

I agree with all the comments that you did fine by standing your ground. But I can understand how fishing that spot just wasn't fun any more after all that hubbub. It's a shame we can't just all get along.

The same thing happened to me a couple of years ago on Lake Lewisville with the same result. The land owner lied to the police and said we were trying to brake into a boathouse that was out of the water with no boat or walls for that matter. all falsefied information of course. You should go back next weekend with about 10 other boats and fish the same area. Way to stand your ground

Since that is HER lake, do you think she could cleanup all the dead fish or send her the bill for the cleanup.

My mom and stepdad Live there as well as my brother and his family. There are some a-holes that live there unfortunately. Just ignore them like I do. Wait till you play golf and do something the old farts don't like they come unglued and it's funny to watch! Don't have a boat anymore, but there is some good fishing from the gas dock most nights.

Love them reds

Well I am a Police Officer, I would have love to have taken that call!! I would have made the complainants look even more stupid I guarantee U that!!! I would have ask them to prove to me ur anchor was on the tree roots, when they did, after crawling out of the water I would have said TUFF no laws broken.. 10-8 NO OFFENSE.. 10-8 is code for back in service...Good job for standing up for ur rights, amd not escalating the problem..

That would be awesome. I bet she'd never open her mouth at a boater again.

Yeee-Haaa.... Way to go!!! Love the idea of a fishing expedition there. I'm from down in Houston but if any of y'all have a couple pontoon boats with grills, I'll drive up and fish and have a fish fry with y'all. Little fish fry, country music, and folks celebrating freedom. Cool In case she shows up again, let's have an American Flag, copy of the Constitution, copy of the TPWD regulations to give her. Ya done GOOD!!!! Let me know the date of the pontoon boondoggle if you plan it. I'm in.

Pray for a return to our Constitution.

TFF get together for making a crappie cathedral at this location.

Actually kudos for putting this on the forums. I have often dreaded this situation and wondered what to do.

Some people just like catching. I like fishing.
