ok, now Im thinkin the beer offset my count. I just went and looked at the fb pic. there are obviously 12 crappie and 5 bass. I know for sure my stringer had 5 crappie and 5 bass. and my beer count was just under that number.

The way I do it is through www.photobucket.com. You set up an account there, upload your pics and then copy and paste the link to the pic into the pop-up box that opens when you press the picture button when you're writing a post. Then choose something like "non-floating image." Hope that helps.

So went out to buffalo today, wasn't that bad of a day, no real fish to speak of but had fun on the water regardless. Seemed like the winds where moving at a good 20-30 mph easily so I fished the damn and made about 3 passes up and down it in about 3 1/2 hours. counter about 27 people fishing from shore, 10 boats, 4 tubes and my kayak all at the damn. No luck from the shore people minus a few cats and bass and a random crappie here or there. Most of the fish where from the water bound people, caught most of them in 10+ feet of water hanging around brush piles and deeper cover. Saw a few people snag some nice 2+ pounders at least, even ran into a few tube guys from the forums and got to chat and BS for a bit. Over all fun day but still no fish other then non keepers for me.

Well decided to go to petrolia lake this morning, glad I did!! Rowed the boat out to the cat tails and caught 4 nice either flat heads or channel. When I get home will load some pics!!
My brother took the boAt out there shortly after me and just called And said they caught a big crappie and a big bass!!
After a quick google pretty sure they are channel

yeah some of the guys in boats where just trolling up and down the damn and cutting in front of me and getting in the way of shore guys. They where 2-3 feet from the shore and some just being annoying and not even saying sorry or even making eye contact, I had to move when one guy got to close and didn't even try to change course. Next weekend I bet the spawn hits and it is going to be even worse... maybe Ill try a lone spot on arrowhead instead.

I was there on the bank from 6-7:15 pm and never had the problem you mentioned with the boats. Everyone that passed me said hi and were giving updates on the fish they caught or didn't catch. It is always tight quarters on the bank when the spawn hits, as everyone has just as much right to fish there as anyone else if they have a fishing license. Although I do agree that some people do not always follow the unspoken and unwritten fishing etiquette rules by getting to close or on top of others.

Try Henrietta bridge when the wind isn't exactly out of the south. I love Buffalo lake but it does get alot of pressure in the spring.
We fished HB this evening with few bites but still had fun.
Guess I'll leave the crappie alone for a while and go after hybrid before I miss out.

I was out there from ten am to one pm and I'm sorry my post made it sound like everybody was a jerk. It was only one boat that was being annoying, everybody else was super nice, friendly and chatting about life and everything else. Sorry about that my post over exagerrated it i think . I'm going to give hen bridge a try for the first time next weekend I think. Was told buffalo is a great bass lake too.

Well, we fished all over Arrowhead Saturday with only 8 keepers. Game wardens stopped us on the way in and went over the entire boat. Sam make sure you have your life vest and throwable life preserver. Tried 2nd bridge yesterday afternoon, nothing..Not much to report but a nice set of raccoon eyes from being on the water for two days. Oh well, it beats sitting on the couch.

I might have to go try middle lake. Been awhile since I've been out there. Yesterday my buddy was fishing at Gordon lake in Iowa park and he came by and showed me the 20 pound cat he caught from the bank. He caught a few other nice ones too. I keep forgetting about gordon lake, there is some pretty good fishing there and they stock it every year.
There is a fine line between fishing and standing on the shore looking like a idiot.

FishingRythe, if you try the henrietta bridge this weekend and it's too crowded, paddle to the first cove to the north just west of bridge. we caught 4 crappie in 18inches of water Friday and thought we found them. Four crappie in about 10minutes then nothing else. My dad and some other people went back out saturday and tried all known "holes" no luck. Even tried all our west side holes. I still say its not quite warm enough water wise and with lake up a little this year, more cover and fish may not be concentrated. I saw people go into ranchhouse bay last two years during spawn and catch fish from sun up to sun down. I mean 4-5 boats could go in there and everyone limit out. My next chance to come up won't be til Tuesday 3/29/11. Surely spawn will be kickin by then.
