well hen bridge was another bust this AM!! there were a few catfish pulled out!! had quite a few bite on punch bait but nothing!!

Went to Arrowhead and fished on the boat slips by the pier on Saturday morning. Got there about 6am and fished until 8am until the pain from a kidney stone was too much to bear. Didn't get a nibble, but did see several others who had been there much earlier with some nice stringers. One guy had at least 8 or 9 nice ones in a fish basket. I don't know how long he'd been there. We didn't see one person catch a fish the two hours we were there, so they must have been catching them much earlier than when we arrived.

Hope they start biting later in the day soon.

Well the old man tried all three bridges today and still could not find any crappie. I guess yall still need some more warm weather. The spawn is on for hybrids around san antonio.

Well guys, with this weather warming up this week there might be some good fishing around here. I have been hearing some things about Buffalo so I will probably try there this week. Anybody else been out there lately?

May try to hit buffalo tomorrow or thurs just to fish from the bank. If I go I will let yall know how I do

Didnt go yesterday but think Im going to fight the wind this morning and head out to Buffalo and give it a try

I will probably be putting in at the Henrietta bridge tomorrow morning and fishing hard all day Friday. I know a cove just south of Hen bridge. I hope to hug the shoreline and make the 20mph winds to my cove and then wade it out for 6-7hrs or limit out, hope that happens early. I hope to have some reports Saturday. I don't know if I can access the Forum from my phone, but will be back in Mineral Wells Saturday and will give an update. These 80 degree days and wind gotta be warming the lake up. Good luck!!!

I am picking up a boat that I just bought on Saturday. I am gonna tear Buffalo up this year.

Prob Gunna head to hen bridge. And give it a try. May e the dam area or even the state park!!

Ok fellas I am by no means a crappie fisherman and I also have zero gear for it. All I got is a spinning rod that I use for my shakey heads when Im bassfishing. Ok so I have some jigs laying around and I stop at walmart to get some nightcrawlers because I plan on catfishing a lil bit while Im there also. When I get there its the only place you can fish is the dam because of the wind. So I try the crappie thing and after loosing a dozen or so jigs in the rocks I just start bassfishing and caught 4 real nice ones from shore. Anyways talked to a few guys out there all crappie fishing and they all said no luck as of yet.

Oh and if you guys walk the rocks PLEASE BE SAFE the snakes are out big time!
I was about 15ft above this guy. And come to find out there was 3 others with in 5ft of him and I didnt know it until I walked away and looked back!

hen bridge was no good today between 230 and 430!!

fixing to head towards WF. hope to gas up the boat and have cork in the water by 9am. Will try to update by noon.
