Thanks, everyone for the kind comments. I like the writing part almost as much as the fishing part...
DP...From time to time I give some thought to creating a fishing blog. We'll see....
Butch...the water on the lake wasn't as clear as the river, but it was pretty darn clear.

Great write up, Bert!  Just got back from a week on the Devil's with clients. I couldn't be more pleased to report that Texas has a new Junior Angler Catch & Release State Record smallmouth application on it's way to TP&W. We had seven smallies over 20", including a 21.5" toadhemoth pending record brownie caught by my clients 14 year old son. Three of the boys 4 smallies over 20" would have beaten the existing 20.3" Junior Catch & Release Texas State Record smallmouth.  Congratulations Garrett!!!
