Thanks for the input. That's annoying though. Really wish we didn't have to put up with this emissions and ultralow sulfur diesel [censored]. My '05 gets a solid mpg higher now that we have converted it to a farm truck and I can run farm diesel in it.
Bull, you know if you could figure out a way to fool the DEF system into letting us just fill that tank with water you could be a millionaire. I don't know how cutting the tip off and welding on a new one could affect things that much???
Do you know if there is any way to make the DVD player play while you're in drive? Mine will only play a movie if I'm in park. How often am I going to sit there with my truck running in one place and watch a movie? I understand the dangers of a driver having a movie in while driving, but what about for my passengers? I'd rather not put screens in the back of the headrests.

Just to let you know,
In a bind, you could still use the smaller hitch with the oversize receiver.
We found ourself in the same predicament in duck season. My bud bought the same truck, and we went to hook up to the trailer to pull the Ranger (side-by-side not boat) and realized the hitch was smaller than the receiver. We searched all over the truck for an adapter and there was not one. My buddy said screw it, it still has the same size solid steel pin holding the hitch, so we rolled with it.
We pulled the trailer from Rayville, LA to Lake Village, AR; drove around Lake Village for 3 days, and then from Lake Village to Shreveport with the smaller hitch with no problems. It just had a pivot and 2-3" of travel when going over bumps or RR tracks.
I woudn't reccomend this as a long term solution, but it worked in a jam.

That larger receiver is probably a class 5. I can get about 3 or 4 more gallons in my '08 F-350 after the pump kicks off. You need to look up the Spartan tuner with DPF delete. It will make the truck a completely new beast.

In order to get Dvd to work in drive you need to look at Ford Lockpicks. 239.00 and you can have radio like you want it. I have noticed to that I can only put around 20 gallons in my 2011 F-250. I have 3000 miles on mine now. I will check with dealer when I get my first oil change and see what is up. That urea [censored] that you have to put in the tank looks just like water. We poured some up in a cup the other night and tried to burn it. Smells just like ammonia and water mixed.

Thanks Shep. Glad to know I'm not the only one with this problem.
