Thanks again. Yes, life jackets have always been part of his aquatic wardrobe, but after my brush with death I am wearing mine as well.
Blake and I have been off for spring break this week. He came into our room this morning and woke Patty and I nudging me while whispering, "are we going fishing this morning?"
He is definitely my favorite fishing partner despite making occasional wild casts. He now backs the boat off the trailer and drives me from one way point to the next. I think these are the highlights for him and evening afterglows for me.

We went back the 6:30 this evening and fished until nearly dark. Caught 6 more and man I wish the bass would go away! All males so far. I can't fish for nearly 3 weeks due to work. You guys have fun.

It won't be long and he will be passing on his knowledge to another. If you look in his eyes you see the surface, look deeper this young one has it in his bones.He got the goods naturally , GOOD JOB Mr. POPE from Pat and all the Sac au Lait's.
