Better check yourself before you break yourself.

Just kidding. No you won't have any problems, only people that have issues on the lake are people that have a "my spot" complex or if you run over someones lines. Anyone that would lose their temper in front of a child that you have in the boat should have their fishing license revoked.

If you are forced to cut between someone or have to navigate around someone, just be nice and ask before you get into casting distance. Use the trolling motor.

Hey John I wouldn't worry to much about some of the post you read on here. Most of those types of post are from someone who is far braver behind a keyboard than out in real life. Like stated above 99.9% of us tff'ers are good people who only care about making the sport of fishing a better place for everyone.

Also take your son and father with you. Being on the water with the ones you love and care about create memories you want ever forget. So don't miss out on a chance to go with them.

John, I plan on heading out there tomorrow as well. If you see a pretty hefty guy in a 17' red Xpress with 90 yamaha, stop by. If I am on fish, I'll let you know what they are biting the best on and your family can go ahead me. There is one thing that I love beter than catching fish myself. That is to watch youngsters catching them.

I look a lot like this.

Set the hook first, ask questions later!!!

If someone is on your spot, and they knew it was your spot, that is spotlicking.

Yesterday I drifted the roadway all day and boated about 50 bass with a buddy! At one point when we were motoring back to the start of the drift a fellow was floating under the bridge fishing the pilings. I debated where I should start my drift again but decided to start right at the beginning since he was fishing the pilings and not the roadway. My first cast towards the bridge resulted in a mean-mugging from hell by this fellow. My boat was probably 25 yards from his boat but he appeared to think I had just cast into his bathtub based on the look I got. I felt bad about it for a while but decided I did nothing wrong. CAN I GET A RULING?

25 yards is pretty close, but normally not an issue if you are fishing a structure beneath you. Casting to where he's fishing might have struck him as you being intrusive or greedy. I can cast 25 yards without a problem.

I find that people assume how you are fishing instead of noticing that you are fishing an area. I've had people try to come between me and the bank some 15 yards away because they thought I was fishing in a different direction. It doesn't matter. I think anything within casting distance of that boat is an area he's fishing.

But in the grand scheme of things, I wouldn't worry about it much.
