I never have really tried to catch these, but every once in a while we catch one like it. I've heard some people call it carp, some people call it buffalo. I think this is what you would call a buffalo. Am I right? By the way, this is my good friend Adam. He's been a fishing buddy of mine for the past two years or so.

Aren't gaspergoo supposed to be pretty good eating? If they are, we threw back a good fish, I guess.

Aren't gaspergoo supposed to be pretty good eating? If they are, we threw back a good fish, I guess. Definitely a good eating fish with firm white meat. The smaller ones under 5 pounds are the best.

That's a freshwater drum! Cool fish, fun to catch, tasty when they're not too big, and native to Texas.

Nice drum, If you want to target them catch some crawdads and fish a rocky spot like in your picture. Worms and minnows also work but the crawdads are #1. Hook them through the tail
