Finally got signed up to fish Squaw Creek this coming Saturday.. I know there are posts everywhere about Squaw, and I have read through most of them, but I was going to see if anyone had some more recent tips of what to use and where to find the fish at? I really need some schoolin' on worm fishing and finesse fishing so I thought this lake would be a good one to get some practice on. Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

I was kinda wondering myself. Had planned on going out there sometime this month with a guide and completely forgot. Bills for kids tuition, unexpected dental, emergency room.. are making me think next year is better anyway. Be sure to wear glasses and a bandana or something around your face when running to the next spot. Cuts down on headaces and allergies.

I went out with a guide a few weeks back, one thing I will tell you is be ready to launch when it's your turn if you're in the early morning launch parade. They do not dilly-dally, have your boat ready to go ot they will run over you...I don't recommend one man trying to unload, it's a circus...

I'm headed out there Saturday for my second time. Was wondering the same stuff. I was told the last time mid lake is the area to fish. Not going south of the islands. But idk. Havnt been out there since I was told that.

Mid-lake is good, watermelon seed or watermelon red soft plastics T-rig and c-rigs. Top water early has produced a few decent fish. I have been throwing a white Buzzbait early in shallow water on the banks. 8 to 15 foot has been best for plastics. White spinnerbaits, and crank baits have produced a few fish as well. Good luck!

Hey Darryl thanks for the information, we are going to give it a shot.. Might even take some catfish poles to see if we can get a couple of those if the bass bite is slow.. Thanks for the info everyone!

That's that good ol' father/son cr*p talking.. He may catch more, but when I do get ahold of one it's big, and that's what matters..
