some of the smaller need to harvested. To many of them. Also, I'm not sure about that. Every fish I've pulled out the last two days was between 3 and 7 pounds. The water turkeys are taking care of the small fish.

I've always thought of Twin Lakes as somewhat of an anomaly. My friends and I have fished there a few times before, and I must say, the fish are quite large and abundant.
How does that happen?
They are such small pieces of water in a totally urban environment, and the fishing pressure is ridiculous. Literally ridiculous.
I pulled a 4 pounder out of there last summer that had a hook in its gullet, so yeah, be nice to those fish. They definitely get hammered.

Anyone can catch those big fish off a bed, try catching those fish after the spawn, that is the challenge.

Suprisngly, I caught two over 7 and a 6 in the heat of the summer. Somebody had to have put some Florida strain fish in there. No way northern strain fish would get that big in ponds that size.

I live in this neighborhood but have unfortunately only fished there a few times, most recently on the North pond. I have yet to catch anything but had my watermellon craw hammered almost every cast last weekend. I suspect these were either tiny fish playing tough or massive bluegill. I have never see aything caught, or seen a living fish (water turkeys are alive and kickin' though). I have seen a few posts with pictures and wonder where they were taken as the water clarity and lack of polution and algae don't remind me of my little neighborhood ponds at all. I routinely see cups, food wrappers, and general junk from all over. There hasn't been much pressure on these two guys in the past few weeks so I may try again this week and report back on my luck. Hopefully I have some!

Yes twin lakes is just West of Coit on Campbell. Last two trips have missed some biguns, one jumped out of the water before he got off so I know he was North of 3 lbs. The smaller 1-2 lb LMB have not been easy to catch lately. Last trip out I hooked something on top water then it got real angry and started pulling drag. Fought it for a while then it stopped pulling so hard. Turned out to be a 10 inch sand bass all chewed up and nearly dead by the time I got it in.

I have been there frequently the past couple of weeks and its not nearly as crowded as it gets in spring/early summer. I've mostly gone after bluegills but have caught some bass from time to time as well. Caught a 3lb LMB the other day that was a fatty and he looked healthy too. Seems like there is less slime and water is way clearer than it was weeks ago. I have never fished the south side pond but I fish the north, the majority of my catches our from me casting around the Northeast corner of north pond. And west side of pond I've seen more people catch bass than east.
Official scrub fisher, who enjoys it quite a bit!

Caught a nice 4 pounder there today. I'll post a pic when I get to a pc. I barely got it on a 4 in extreme shad jerk bait. The hook popped out of his mouth on the jump in the pic but he caught himself in the gill on the way down.

Anyone got a recent report from here? I see 10 people fishing each side on my way through the neighborhood from work every day so I know someone is fishing there. Curious if any are being caught. I haven't caught a thing from there since last spring.

Yes it's starting to pick up. They see a lot of the same baits. People love to throw big spinners etc. Work smaller baits slower or try a drop shot near middle.

I try to throw things that I suspect others wouldn't there like swim baits, jerk baits, etc. I live in Estates West and used to fish it daily with some quality catches. It has really fallen off or I need to go beetle spin old school. I have done really well on weightless soft plastics, small traps, and 4" suspending jerks. Biggest I have pulled out of the south pond was a 6+ and north close to 5. They are in there for sure.
