They are shallower than everyone thinks. After bass fishing, I thought I would try crappie fishing and found them from 6 inches to 3 feet deep. There was not even deep water any where close. Seriously, they had to travel at least a mile in 7 feet of water to get where I caught them. They were not even close to the bank. They were on a very large flat in isolated trees. I only caught 7 keepers, but they were good ones.

I tried 4 spawning areas and caught 1 2 lb bass. Found 63 degree water but no fish. This weekend should be better if it isn't windy. Suppose to be in the 80s for highs and 60s for lows towards the end of the week. Saw two big snakes hanging out in the spawning areas. Water color and level is good just need about 5 or so more degrees.
