There were at least 20+ something teams at least per Larry. Tom said at the meeting the day before that there was approx 37.

They posted 5 and said they had two teams left to weigh in...so I assumed 7 teams.

There were 30 something teams, 20th place was just a few ounces over 20 lbs, and I regret to say that Tom and myself were not in the top 20, the lake was rough and limited a lot of people's fishing,

Congradulations to all that fished it, and to all that placed in it, "Good Job"

Some done pretty good, but the Oklahoma people took the Big money home,

Here is an idea...we can a wetting the hook endurance challenge. We can have our champion DCM set up with 5 combos across the Red River from their most hexed angler. First one to catch a fish or give up loses.

When we crossed the 2 mile bridge -in a Car the swells were at least 6'.

Looked like at least 50 boats and 100+ folks around the weight in.

This was about 5 pm.

What has happed to you does not define who you are-

HOW you react to what happens to you DOES!

I think the die hard shallow water fishermen lost out because, we just didn't think the fish moved from where they were, and the people that don't fish the shallow water like we do here went to the deeper areas and caught the fish, most of the people they asked seemed to catch their fish in 20 - 25'0 water, congradulations to them for knowing what to do and learning to make the nessessary adjustments to catch those fish, and it cost us a $100.00 each to find out that the fish will go back deep when a cold front hits,

We will see if we can remember this next time this happens, I hope this little tip will help the ones that fished this weekend up there and the ones that were sitting at home the next time a cold front hits.

It was a humbling experience, because I was expecting better results, but I have learned something to put on the chalkboard,

Good Luck to Ya!!!
