Well, if he chases another angler off a spot, then that's on them... I didn't have any idea just how close you could fish to another angler until what I seen from the Classic. The top 3 or 4 contenders (including KVD) last weekend were piled within casting distance from one another and yet they were all catching them.

I am not a huge Iaconelli fan but let me tell you what I personally witnessed. About 3 years ago on Lake Fork when the PAA was here, all the pros were in this one area talking about their gameplans. When the officals called the pros to their boats VanDam and Ike were signing autographs. Ike stayed until every kid standing in his area got his autograph. I thought that was pretty cool. You should of heard Ikes other teammates yelling at him to come on but he stayed and took care of those kids. Props to Mike for doing that.

Say what you want but he never passes up a kid at any event.

ike is a good guy, the majority of yall saying he needs to grow up need to grow up yourselves. not saying you have to like him but you can respect him for what he does for the sport and his fans.

I like the guy & he's a great fisherman but his antics go way overboard...but what do I know, maybe thats just the way New Jersey people is

I beleive the show was taped the week after the TTBC in Conroe. I was the judge on day two with Ike, and I saw the best and the worst of him that day. You never saw a happier man when he caught the 9.5#er on Sat. He was doing hand stands on the front deck, and break danacing like a teenager. However, he totaly lost it later in the day when he lost a 2lb at the boat. He was cussing and actually kicked his landing net out of the boat, then apologized to me and went over and retreived it. All in all after the day was over I got to ride back to the weighin with him in his truck about 20-30 min.,and we had real nice conversation about fishing,his family,life on the road and just some bs conversation. Had a great day with him.

I agree thats not a good thing to do, but you are only quoting things that are negative. I only think its fair to recognize the positive as well as the negative, and as you have read above, he does alot of generous things. You cant call him out one way, and ignore the other side...just not fair.

And today, I'm hearing a possible was caught.


Of course, I was there yesterday and am going tomorrow.
