Anyone have a good freshwater Drum Recipe? I assume they can be fried but would be good on the grill?

Yeah, they're good breaded a little and fried up just like catfish or white bass. Also good cooked on the grill since the meat is a little firmer. They're great blackened.
After all, blackened redfish is literally, blackened red drum. Freshwater drum are very similiar.

In Texas they don't seem to care for them in Louisiana I seen some pretty bad fights at the fish market behind them a lot of old timers cook them in a red gravy,Southern Halibut,or so it seems LOL

Find your favorite redfish on the halfshell recipe, and sub freshwater drum for the red drum.
It is excellent.
When I make fish chilli, I prefer to use freshwater drum, for the firmness.

Either one of these would work well with freshwater drum. I usually use catfish, but just about any freshwater fish will work just fine. The kiddos really love the Croquettes. Fish Recipes
