i have graphed that pond from a float tube and it is 55 feet deep on the west side, just inside the west jettie, where the flood from the early eighties swirled out the road. there used to be pics of it at the corps office down the road but i believe they took down their little museum room. as for permission, i have been told yes and no and to definately don't get caught on any of the cement structure or the fences. i'd rather catch the same fish in the lake to be honest though. lotta work getting down to that side.

Hey gang,

That's great to know that it's legal to fish it, my friend has fished it for years, he says that he's caught big crappie off of brown tiger stripped crank baits, there's some huge bass there also. I know because he's lost several of my crank baits out there, he'd better be heading to Wal-Mart soon, my takle aint Free!

do not worry about getting caught down there. just go and enjoy. it is corps. property and unless it is posted "no trespassing" then u have nothing to worry about.
