I can't decide which one to go with, and I'm sure there's atleast one of you guys/gals that has tested both series.
So....which one should I go with. As I have had no luck in finding a shop that sells both. Any help is Greatly Appreciated!

Bassbug is the man you want to find. He owns both rods and fishes them pretty regularly. You don't want to talk to me about it. I'll just confuse the issue by telling you that you should also consider the TFO Mini Mag.

Haven't fished either but I really like the Sage Smallmouth line that comes with the rod.

There is something extra sexy about the mustard / red on the Sage Smallmouth rod.
That *is* all that matters right?
I haven't cast that Reddington, but I can tell you this. I absolutely love my Smallmouth rod, It is a beast, and it has no issues with bendbacks the size of my hand.
Of course the Smallmouth line is a 290 grain, does comparing it to a 7 wt make sense? The only obvious answer is buy both.

I have Sage Largemouth with 330 gr (i think) sage bass line & Redington Predator 9 wt, use Sage SM line 290 gr( ? )
they are not alike
imo, the Sage LM casts very slowly but it will toss yer best live bait about 50 yds. The Redington is a tiny bit longer & much faster action, it too will throw some big stuff, I also use it on occasion with 300 gr sink tip & it works well at that, soo I'd say verstilty goes to Redington....but the Largemouth will punch holes in the wind Its downfall is casting distance & time needed to get acquainted with it.

Thanks for the advice, hmmm, I sure like the colors of that rod though, guess Sage's mustard and rust arent worth the extra money.

that was my milage, yours may differ...I am not a by any means an alleged expert or even semi-good at rating rods...the Sage is an awesome rod, I can cast saltwater/muskie/pike sized stuff with it, and I read the shorter length lends itself to accuracy & find no reason to dispute that claim...the Redington on the other hand doesnt come with line or a case....so they get closer in price with that stuff factored in...I have seen them (Sage Bass rods)on eBay
