I have started using hand typed jigs and find that i have been doing much better and catching more on them than any plasitic i have tryed. I started tying my own after having success with ones purchased at marinas. I vertical jig them and also cast and reel back very slow and have been doing really well both ways. I am not saying plastics are not good cause they can be good too. This has just been my experience thus far.

From my experience if you find the fish the will bite pretty much anything. Sometimes minnows is all they want. Sometimes jigs is all they want. Most times they will take either. I have more plastic than the law should allow. I still catch them on the original Beatte Spin.

Hey, what happened to Slabmesilly? Is he still around? He used to make some really good jigs. Always had good success using his jigs.
