Probably because she did her thing for the hatchery last spring, she's been well fed, is healthy and about to lay a bunch of eggs. Perfect time to return her to the lake.

It was in Athens but they brought it back because it was not pure Florida it was a Florida Northern and they only accept fish that are I belive 96% pure Florida.

And no we did not hook the fish back up to a rod and try and land her again when it was released just saying.

Thats awesome!

The comment about no current is not exactly correct. Water is pulled through L A everyday. Some days more than others. Most of the time it is done at night when it is less obvious. All in the agreements with the LCRA and water customers down stream.

SkeeterMark and Waldrop Jr must be "special friends." SkeeterMark is the only person that keeps trying to convince people on here and the ABF that what Waldrop did was ok.

WOW! Really?! Classy, real classy there Bill.

Any fish I ever had on over or around 10 pounds tested my knot. The fish swam right to the boat. Wonder how many lost the eggs or ended up dead. So if you think they were not re hooked and caught I call BS. They were.

Alright ladies calm down about the video.

But I am not sure about the pulling water everyday thing I have been out there days and never seen current. But for as fishing right now they are prob still going to be a bit scattered but you could prob find some out deep. And for as other boats it is not as terrible this time of year on the weekend but after spring break starts and all that it can get kinda bad on sat. I have been on the lake for the past 5 years and have kinda gotten used to dealing wtih them.

You must not have been around when Basschamps TV show started several years ago. Lol.

Not excusing anyone but alot of fishing shows are staged. They will bring bass with them in the livewells just in case they dont catch any fish. Not really the same thing as catching ten pounders, and then catching them again hours later, but just thought I would share.

Most have this has been already been said, but deep docks and deep rocks are what I would be focusing on right now. Fish can also be thick in reeds around the lake early in the morning and late at night. Senkos and Grandebass rattlesnakes/megatails are some of the best producers on LA, but after the last drawdown, I cranked up a lot of fish.

Bill, stop talking s#$t.

Do you have facts/proof on this? I would be interested in seeing some real facts proving this, not just speculation, but actual proof that this type of activty has, or is, taking place.

Well I know I read it somewhere and Im about 99% sure i read it in my Mike Iaconelli book. Not sure if its 100% accurate but I remember reading about how alot of times when they go out to video shows in tough conditions they would bring fish with them just in case the professional zero'd or had a terrible day. I really dont have any facts to prove this but i sure would like to know how acurate it is. Ill look back in my book tonight and see if I can find it. You would be naive to believe everything you saw on television these days though. And like i stated earlier I am in no way excusing those guys in Austin for what they did, i think its wrong.

Thanks,

-Zach
