This is an idea that has been kicked around by many for a while now and I thought after yesterday's fun, I would debut the concept for the innagural crappie tourney schedule I am hosting for the Centex area with the help of several on this board. This series is designed to have fun and fish and scratch the itch to compete a bit. This is a work in progress and I'll post rules and updates at a later date. Including the possibility of bonus money added. In this first year, we're just doing it jackpot style and not seeking any sponsorships, though if anyone would like to sponsor a prize or two, I won't turn you down. In future years, we might expand out a little, but I think this gives the Central guys a more affordable option and another series of tournaments for the state. I intentionally set this up not to conflict with CAT for those that like to fish a lot of tourneys. I welcome thoughts and suggestions! Let's just have fun with this and get our friends and family members fishing! I treasure these tourneys as I get to spend time on the water with either my wife or father. So here goes:

Centex Summer Crappie Series 2011
Four Tournament Circuit with Individual and Season Circuit Payouts - All tourneys weighted and paid equally with a 100% payout once the season is capped
May 7th � Lake Granger � Fox Hollow Park � Hours: 7:00-2:00
June 4th � Lake Belton, Leona Park - Hours: 7:00-2:00
July 23rd � Stillhouse Hollow Lake, Dana Peak Park �� Hours: 6:30 - 1:00
August 20th - Lake Waco, Speegleville Park � Hours: 6:30 � 1:00

$50 entry fee per two person team - 90% Payback at each event (80% team, 10% - Big Crappie) with the remaining 10% going towards the series prizes.
Sample Payout (based on 10 team entry):
1st 45% - $225
2nd 25% - $125
3rd 10% - $50
Big Fish - $50
Remaining $50 goes to series prize (Champions 50% of series money, 2nd 30%, and the lowest finishing team that fished all 4 tournaments 20%)

If there are five teams or less, then it�s winner take the whole 90% allocated to the individual tourney.

Hey congratis I am happy for you guys and will help any way I can, I can't ever repay you guys in Centex for what you guys did last summer's tourney Lake Waco benefit, it should go good yall some top notch guys.

Pat, Thats what its all about, Steve and I had a great time getting that together as it was our firt time organizing one and couldnt have been done for a better cause.

It was a good cause and we appreciate all of the guys who helped out, maybe we can fish another one together Pat. This year I will have a boat that take the wind and waves, , and a trolling motor to hold us where we need to be.

Great to see something in the Central Texas area. Now I just wished I still lived there. Good luck hope this is a big success!
