My guess is the fish will REALLY stack up on the lake side of this construction and NOT swim though the pipes. The constuctors just care about the water from up stream and not bass migration to spawn up creek. Time will tell if any go thorough or stack up.

How far downstream of the 377 bridge is this dam located? Roughly half-way to the lake or closer to 377?

Thanks. That means a short walk from 377 or a long paddle from "The Park Formerly Known as Marshall Creek Park" (for those of us who don't know the current name).

Hey Tony sorry I missed out but that was such a decent thing to do I'll tell you where you can get into both sandies and crappie just 10 miles from Grapevine. It's a small creek so I'll not post the location here. PM if you're intrested. I kayak it but have seen fair size boats there too.

Went out there sunday and caught a dozen whites between 10am and 4pm, all short males. It is dammed up though but it doesnt look to be somthing that is going to be permanent, not yet anyways.

Unless the sandbass read about the dam on twitter or some other dam thing, they won't know about it until they get there.......

It is not completely damned up. There is a diversion bypass built on the south side shore line where 90% of the water is going through. The pumps are just pumping the leakage that gets through the temporary dam. Trust me those green pumps are mine on rent to the contractor; and he want this done way quicker than any of you do. But 90% of water is still going through w/o passing through the pumps. Probably another three weeks timeframe would be my guess.

Only if it's a submarine. The bypass is a 3.5 or 4 foot diameter pipe that is below water level.

Caught a few with my daughter last night Side note: the bank was littered with about 10 blue gloves and a bunch of other bait container trash...worse yet the trash can was about 15' away. Pathetic! We did a quick pickup using the walmart sacks left there too.
