Anybody know when the white bass run will start in the denton creek area? also, is this dam going to affect the fishing at all? i'm planning on fishing under the bridge on 114 and 377

Usually starts in 2 weeks or so. Water level needs to be right and moving a touch for some good fishing. What dam are you reffering to?

NUTZ I haven't been that way in awhile obviously. I wonder what the reasoning was not to bore under the creek instead of doing something like this?

Only thing I can think of is that this is a gravity line and it is hard to bore on grade in slop with that heavy pipe. If it is a force main line then WTF?

They can't close off the creek entirely and if there is a large enough pipe for the creek to continue to flow, then I believe that the sandies will find their way through to get up stream. I've seen fish ladders before at dams and some how fish swim up those. their just won't be any boats headed up to Henrietta hole this year.

I was up in the creek about a month ago before it got to this stage. It was blocked off while they were laying giant bags of sand and rock in the bottom of the creek with that crane. If you are coming from 377 is is just past the giant power lines.

I was really looking forward to cruising up there soon and now am not sure if I will even bother. I just got my little outboard rebuilt and am dying to take it out.

Any suggestions for alternate creeks this Spring in the Denton Lewisville area?

A gravity line refers to a utility that is conveyed by gravity (sewer, storm drain), as opossed to a pressure line (water, gas).

I was really hoping to fish Denton creek hard this spring. Guess I will be looking for an alternative creek.
