I agree that BPS/Tracker need all the negative publicity possible out of this. You probably would not be allowed to park it on their property as a protest. I also doubt that Cabela or Academy would let you keep it parked on their property any length of time either.

Sounds like you are handling this as a gentlemen and in a professional manner. I know it takes time and can be really frustrating but keep after them. I would recommend contacting a lawyer and get some advice on what your options are. That can usually be done with a phone call. A good lawyer will let you know if you have a case that is worth pursuing. I reasonable fee can get you a letter from a lawyer that, sent to the right people could get things turned around in your favor.

Good luck with this, you have lots of people in your corner.

I am currently in an 03 Skeeter( poor boy I know), will retire in 3 years from a teaching career(lots of money)sarc...and am planning on buying another boat for my retirement. I also have considered all brands but after seeing this post I would never consider a Nitro, no matter how much of a "discount" they offered.I would keep pushing this deal all the way to KVD, Johnny Morris, the president of BPS,certainly a lawyer, maybe even some up an coming politician. I know this must be heartbreaking and wish you the best.

WOW

I was seriously considering the Nitro for my next boat. I mean, as #1 on my list and looking to head to BPS in Dallas to pick one up soon. Not now.

Nitro is off my list! Looks like I need to look at a used Skeeter or Ranger.

same here. I had actually contemplated one on the next purchase because of the incentives. I will be buying a new boat in 3 years as a graduation present to myself.

all i can say is... LAWYER UP, cause this one is gonna be nasty! Put the screws to tracker marine group and make an example out of them. This is NOT the first time they have had to be sued to make good on thier product. I know someone who worked locally AT one of the dealerships that had to sue them to make good on thier own product! freakin amazing!

You have every right to be angry about this but your best bet is to get a good attorney and have them start sending letters to BPS on your behalf. The threat of a lawsuit is the only thing that will get their attention.

You have sunk $35K into this boat. You may as well spend another couple of grand in an attempt to make things right....

I will say I do feel like you are doing it the correct way.

You gave them plenty of time to listen and respond, then you have stated it in a way that nothing is bias or not true. You have kept your cool and let the pressure grow. Ball is in their court, so they need to respond.

I'll admit that I didn't read all 7 pages.. LOL
But if the MFG will not help and it is not an insurance claim instead of just parking it go see Mike at Lake Fork Fiberglass and have him put a Gator Hull on it. That should fix the problem with the Boat. There is no fix for the Company...

Based on the pictures, this is way beyond a Gator Hull fix. Looks like a total to me.

I always figured Nitro/Tracker had crappy customer service. Their Z9 is a good looking boat, but once you start feeling the latches, carpet, seat material, you will realize that it is nothing more than a mirage....... I just assumed the customer service aspect went hand in hand with the quality of their prouduct.

My father had problems with Tracker Marine 10 years ago, and after witnessing his dealings with them I will never own one of their products.

Best of luck with everything.

+1. As a new fisherman who is still learning about all the boat manufacture out there I often wondered why nitros were always talked negatively about. After seeing the pics and reading this thread I can assure you i will never buy a nitro or tracker boat.

I was sincerly considering a Z-7 before this. I thought they were great looking boats and priced right. I make ok money but I have a lot of bills. Something like this would completely ruin me. Sorry, but I will no longer consider Nitro as a viable option. bolt Even if they decided to fix it right now, It would not change my mind, as they tried to bully you around from the start. barf
