thanks for the offer. looks like I'm getting a canoe here shortly. Gonna slap trolling motor on it and hit the waters and see what I can do on my own. If I get skunked, then I'll hit you up. Again thanks...

be careful out on benbrook in a canoe, the wind can make the water pretty nasty at times.

If you plan to fish it >10 times a year buy a lake pass at the gate to the park. $30 and is good for a year at ANY COE lake day use area/public boat ramp. Sometimes its worth the $10 to rent a camp site at Rocky creek park just to bank fish it. If there are 2+ of you its cheaper to do that than to try your luck at 5the barge.

At rocky creek park. When you pull into the park went left then took the first road to the right. There is a nice slue right there,so we could get out of the wind. Tried down passed the boat ram but was to windy.....

Its pretty shallow in that area in Your pics, I don't find many there until the water warms up. Down on the end if that peninsula casting toward the crappie barge/no wake buoy it is about 17' in the middle. casting straight out off the point down there it is a slow drop with a gravel bottom maybe 6'-7' at 50 yards out. Sandies and hybrids and those annoying yellow bass are common in those areas. To the west side down on the end You will find a mud bottom. I see lots of people having luck with catfish in that area. Back behind the restroom on the west side you will see a bunch of timber. The old creek channel runs right along that bank between it and the timber. There is a limestone ledge along there that may or may not be out of the water depending on the lake level then a vertical drop to 14' or so If you work your way towards the point from that area you will eventually come to a spot where the water suddenly comes up to about 3'. The channel makes a 90 deg turn out into the lake at that point. Almost every time I pass through there in my boat I graph lots of fish holding on that drop off. That should get You started with a better idea of what You are dealing with.
