There is NOTHING that swims that a rooster tail won't catch!
But it you must "specialize", for bass: 7 inch Berkley Power Worm, on a 1/0 Tru Turn hook, with a 3/8th oz bullet weight, Texas rigged on 8-10 lb test, IS ABSOLUTELY DEADLY FROM MARCH TO NOVEMBER! Color is your choice; mine is watermelon, red shad, and blue fleck.
Crappie: tube jigs, tube jigs, and uh, tube jigs. My preference is 1/32 to 1/16th oz UNPAINTED jig heads on 6 lb test and an ultralight rig. Yr round crappie snatcher!
Catfish: CHICKEN LIVER. END OF STORY

Bass - wave worm or booyah pond magic spinnerbait, the best bass bait is a rooster tail. I like the ones with chartuse blades. I have caught everything from 1.5in perch to large bass with this. The pond magic will also catch numbers of bass but I have never caught anything big on one yet. A wave worm is the most deadly for bass. . . if its not windy.

When desperate times call for desperate measures..I always pull out the banjo minnow. You can order them online or from any bass pro shops!

Thanks for the advice about the rooster tails. I've been fishing carolina rigs and spinner baits on White Rock, Bachman, and the lake off spur 482 with very little success. Last Wednesday I fished a part of Turtle Creek with a yellow rooster tail and caught at least 20 LMB! Most were very small but a couple were about a pound and one was at least 3 lbs.
