Went to Academy today, and wound up buying the only color bodies I didnt already have. Never know which one might be the secret...lol. I guess it really comes down to putting that jig right in front of their face when they are there. You can put all the different colors, weights, rattles, nibbles, minnows, etc., down there but if ol' slab daddy aint there, not going to catch them. Thanks for the notes though, good to know those are the colors I usually grab first.
Love the smell of a GI bleed in the morning.

If you like colors my jig collection (that I take fishing) will be disappointing, it consists of black/chart and white/chart rocky tops from Finny Tribe in MEDIUM, the rest of it is just different plain, unpainted jigheads, again from Finny Tribe. I like 1/8 oz with #2 Matzuo sickle hook the best.
I do have many other colors and variations because I cant help but buy them, but they pretty much stay home in the garage since they dont seem to outfish the other two. Also you will not be disappointed with Pro Angler jig poles.

I'm game! I need...... or should I say, "WANT" some more 8 and 10 footers and more bee ready rodholders. They have more rods available than last year, check it out.
The other guy had four what? Crappie?

PEZZ- I know, I know. Between availability and impulse, i usually wind up with way more than I need to get. With all the stuff I get it does usually wind up with the same ones that do catch them, the black and chartruse, white chartruse, red white, red chartruse, but as i stood there just wanting to get some more jig heads couldnt help but have flash backs of a guy at the state park catching numbers of crappie on a light blue and white, or the other guy catching them with a pink and white or the other guy, or the lady... you get the idea. Heck, when I was a kid i was even begging for my parents to buy the Flying Lure, Helicopter Lure, Banjo Minnow. still think i have some in my old tackle box at the bottom of Lake Texoma somwhere...

I just talked to the old man and he said that he saw four good crappie caught at the third bridge today and two at shashonie park just to the right of the boat dock. He thinks that the crappie will really hit good for a day or so around friday. He said that he is supposed to get rain on saturday and that will turn off the crappie again for a few days. Hope that helps. Yall catch one for me!!!!!!!
This day may be your last on this earth. Spend it fishing!

Loving the warm weather that's been here for the past couple of days- haven't started fishing for crappie again but hopefully the spawn will start a whole lot earlier compared to last year.
I'm betting on spawn starting 3-4 weeks from now at AH. Here's to hoping!
