Agree with the 40 pound test if fishing in heavy cover. Seagur leader works great and I never have knot failure using uni to uni with 65lb braid.

Try about 4 wraps only on the Uni-knot.

I've devoted the last 5 days to learning about braid to 'leader' knots. It taught me something about the quality of different fishing lines (brands). And, it also thought me that all premature knot-failures, during all my bench testing, were MY fault. There's a lot more to properly tying knots than meets the eye. You have to become a "stickler for details". All I can tell you is that you have to PRACTICE a lot.

I did all my testing by lifting a 19 lb weight.
Caution! Wear gloves, because the line will cut you when you wrap it around your hand, OR it will cut you when it breaks and snaps!

In the beginning, I right away decided that the uni-uni knot was NOT for me. But, now that I've learned how to properly execute this knot, it's all I want to use (for line to line).

Need to improve my LMB fishing, running out of time.

I only use 4 wraps on my flouro leader and 14# fireline with a double uni and the leader always breaks before the knot if I get hung up
