If you get what you pay for then LTAs and carrot sux shouldnt shatter on 2 pounders. The fact is it is difficult to build a super lightweight rod that wont break. THey have to build the blank thin to get the weight down. The difference is Academy stands behind all the products they carry without a $75 warranty like Kistler.

I regularly ask Academy employees about sales or when an item might be coming in. The answer I always get is: "I don't know. They don't tell us anything." eeks

There are already a couple of threads running about these rods in the Bass Fishing Forum - Last I read is they should be showing up at Academy in March - The dudes that claim to be testing them give them good reviews but check it out for yourself.

Sounds great, cant wait to get my hands on one. With Academy's all over the state if you break one at a tournament or something it shouldn't be any problem finding a place to exchange it.

I wished they would copy the Lucky Craft Lipless Crankbaits instead of the Spro Aruku Shad.

It looks like the offspring of a Red Eye Shad and a YoZuri Rattling Vibe.
