For the saugeye, I have mainly caught them at dawn or dusk, I have caught them on about 4in shad(dead but fresh hard to keep alive), blue gill/sunfish, or a crappie jig tossed out and worked across the bottom. Im trying to sweet talk a coworker into letting me borrow her kayak, to take out there while it is still cold, I have seen huge water moccs. out there, and dont really want to jack with them. thinking about vertical jigging some shad tube jigs.
But, it is supposed to be warm up on monday, and tuesday, so where and when do yall think some spots might be good to try?

Stopped by Plum after work today, couldn't fish since it was still froze over. There aren't any signs of being stocked and the golden algae may still be causing harm since I found new corpses, now it's big carp and some gar. How the hell gar got in there still has me wondering. I decapitated a couple cause the heads are cool but pretty nasty. barf

I haven't gotten a stocking update e-mail but I figure they may stock Weeks soon. That place just doesn't seem to give my addiction a fix. The traffic noise is constant, you're fishing on a sidewalk, the pond is tiny (but REALLY deep), and there's nowhere to pee without packing up and leaving. Still grateful they added it and they did a top notch job but I'm ready for the scottland bridge crappie to come back on or Plum Lake to recover.

Is deer creek out Scotland, towards blue grove? the callus on my jiggin finger is starting to look a little small, need to build her back up. I drove over a few bridges a while back to go to blue grove, and didnt see any that looked like there were any ramps clear of trees and debris,

I have never seen it before...... All crappie stuff is fully stocked at academy! Better get you some while you can, especially the slip bobbers. Alot of stuff on clearance, out with the old and in with the new.

I went to Academy today around 2pm and everything was fully stocked and on clearance. really good deals. Went again tonight around 9pm and they were doing inventory and some of the items I had bought earlier had gone up in price already. So they are still stocked well but the price has already increased.

I don't know what the name is, but TPWD was releasing trout at the new pond on SW Freeway Tuesday when I drove by.

probably going to hit academy in the morning to see what stuff i need, can someone give me a list of must have colors, jig size, i usually like the 1/32. Im stuck on roadrunner heads, to me they seem to work. but plain jig heads people tear them up. maybe its me. i can jig a spot at the pier, nothing. someone comes in wham, crappie, crappie, crappie. then I will usually 'cheat' put a minnow on my jig
