Nice fish Red...I just came back from a trip to Louisiana. I sure was jealous of all of the fishing holes they have along the route I took. Let me know if you guys are going to Lakeside.

East of the high school...from Waxahachie, take 35 north to 20 west to cedar ridge...as you exit 20, take a left on cedar ridge. Go past the first red light. Take your first left. Go to the stop sign and hang a right...leads right to the park...

I've been to the park you are talking about, it's been a couple of years. Had a couple of hours between jobs, drove in, looked around, drove out. I don't know if it was a family reunion, or some kind of tournament, or what, but there was hardly any bank space left for me to cast from! There were lawn chairs and rod holders everywhere, and plenty of eating going on, too. I promised myself I'd go back another time, but I guess I forgot about the place.

Everyone, I'm happy to report that I will continue to fish at the hole as long as they will allow us to. Please remember to be respectful of the property, as I'm sure you all are, and also be polite. This hole has become one of my favorites, so I'll do whatever I can to preserve that...

Yeah I am making a point to pick up any trash I see there. So far I've only picked up a beer can. I was a little surprised that someone left it there because the area is so nice. Does anyone know what is being built at the construction site? I hope it is a business that closes no later than 5 everyday so we can enjoy some evening fishing.

Joy...the most trash I find is on the other side, south west end. Have you fished on the other side? I did find out the type of business and now it seems to have evacuated my memory. I have caught the most fish on the construction side. And, I too hope it closes around 5pm, and that they don't build a fence or any kind of structure that would keep us from fishing. I sure hope they don't put up Keep Out signs.

Hey RED, you're online in the daytime! Checking the forum helps my day go faster at work. I have only fished by the construction site by the black fence. There is a road that leads in from the north end by the apartments but we haven't driven on it yet. There have been people parked there the last two times we went. Haven't been on the Home Depot side yet, still avoiding chiggers. It seems we have the same worries as far as access to this hole. Lets hope for the best.

Yes, I was online today! Missed my beauty sleep. I was by Briarwood Tues and this evening. They have drained one pond and the other looked like it was very low so I guess it is being drained too. There were no fish in the mud, maybe they are putting back the ponds in better shape.

Hi lucky, I try and fish every body of water I can find. As I have said before...I love to fish...or is it...live to fish? You fishin' anywhere tomorrow? Don't say Lakeside, it's bound to be fished out from the last stocking by now. They didn't even bite the first day as they usually do.
